DOES YOUR DEPRESSION MEDICATION NOT WORK? KEEP TAKING IT….BUT TAKE THIS TOO!!!

Watch this commercial and listen to what it actually says, I can only assume that Abilify is trying to promote its medication with this commercial.

“I’m taking an antidepressant, but I think I may need more help.”

“Approximately 2 out of 3 people being treated for depression still have depression symptoms.

“I’m on an antidepressant, but I am still not where I want to be with my symptoms.”   (This guys voice is pretty sweet….)

“If your antidepressant alone isn’t enough, talk to your doctor.  One option  your doctor may consider is adding abilify.  Abilify is FDA approved to treat depression in adults when added to an antidepressant.  Learn more about abilify.”

NEGATIVE INFORMATION:  0:31 – 107 (36 seconds)

Call your doctor if your depression worsens, or you have unusual changes in mood, behavior, or thoughts of suicide.  Antidepressants can increase these in children, teens, and young adults.  Elderly dementia patients taking abilify have an increased risk of death or stroke.  Call your doctor if you have high fever, stiff muscles and confusion on abilify, as these may be signs of a life threatening reaction or uncontrollable muscle movements since these can become PERMANENT.  High blood sugar has been reported with abilify and medicines like it.  In some cases extreme high blood sugar can lead to coma or death.  Other risks include dizziness upon standing, decreases in white blood cells, which can be serious.  Seizures, impaired judgment, or motor skills, or trouble swallowing.

Time for my response to this ridiculous commercial

The only positive information that this commercial says is that “Adding abilify has made a difference in me”.  I would not even consider that positive information because a lot of things have made a difference in me and a lot of those things are not necessarily positive.

For instance, the other night I had a great vomiting session at 4 o’clock in the morning.  I was visiting a friend Ali, in New Jersey for her 30th birthday.  It was one wave after another of violent bodily fluid removal. After all the vomiting was done, it made a difference, and I was more likely to fall asleep.  It made a difference, but I would not consider the position that I put myself in positive, by any means.

This drug can raise your blood sugar to the point of coma or death.  Do you know what type of disease causes the same thing to happen?

This drug can also lower your White Blood Cell count.  Do you know what type of disease causes the same thing to happen?

HIV…….

If you are depressed and you are already taking medication, and it is not working…….Why would you continue to take something that does not work, and add another drug to the mix that can give you diabetic like symptoms, HIV like symptoms, unusual changes in mood, behavior, or thoughts of suicide, high fever, stiff muscles, dizziness upon standing, seizures, impaired judgment, impaired motor skills, trouble swallowing, confusion, uncontrollable muscle movements, coma or death?

You tell me, maybe I am missing something here and just being naive. This is WhatAndrewMichaelsisdoingnow, trying to figure out how drugs like this are legal, while others are not.

Take the nicotine patch, so you can enjoy and embrace life, during the process of the seemingly impossible act of quiting smoking.

I cannot say that I am the first to post such information, but last night when I was watching a commercial with Kerri and Erin, I thought that it would be something easy to blog about.  Thank you for your help ladies.  Watch this commercial and really listen to it, you can read along below if you want since I typed out the information for you as well:

I figured I would analyze the information into positives and negatives and show the time line:

POSITIVE:

The first 6 seconds ( 0:00 to 0:06)

“Herb quit smoking with Chantix and support. Talk to your doctor about Chantix and a support plan that is right for you.”

NEGATIVE:

The next 1 minute and 2 seconds ( 0:07 – 1:09)

“Some people have had changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, and suicidal thoughts or actions while taking or after stopping Chantix. If you notice, agitation, hostility, depression or changes in behavior, thinking or mood that are not typical for you, or if you develop suicidal thoughts or actions, stop taking Chantix and call your doctor right away. Talk to your doctor about any history of depression or other mental health problems which can get worse while taking Chantix. Where to begin?

I have so much to say that I do not know where to begin, but I have decided to keep this a shorter blog day.

Herb said that “the urges weren’t like they use to be, and that help me quit”

Herb no longer had the urges to smoke cigarettes,  probably because his mind was manifested with the urge that he had to kill himself or his family.  Maybe Herb is a very smart person and was taking his time to plan the perfect murder.  To plan the perfect murder in this day and age is very difficult with the advances in forensics, and I would think that a smart individual should  probably take about two or three months to get everything lined up for the perfect kill.  Coincidentally, around the time of the end of his planning, Herb realized that he did not need Chantix anymore to quit smoking and discontinued using it.  Unfortunately, this meant that Herb wasted two to three months of planning, because the urge to take someones life no longer seemed sexy to him.

This is WhatAndrewMichaelsisdoingnow telling everyone that if you have a dream to quit smoking, and as long as you can deal with changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood,  suicidal thoughts or actions, allergic reactions, serious skin reactions, swelling of the face, swelling of the mouth,swelling of the throat,  a rash, nausea, trouble sleeping and vivid, unusual, or strange dreams…….CHANTIX MAY BE THE SOLUTION YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR, check with your doctor though.

Now you see a child molester, now you don’t…..

A few years ago a headlight commercial came out and I always thought that it was just a bit odd or a little wrong.  I am sure that the intentions were totally positive with the creative team behind the commercial, but for some reason I always felt bad for the boy in this video.  Maybe I was looking too far into things when I came to my conclusion, that this adult male is definitely up to no good.  Please watch this 30 second video, then upon completion please hear me out below the video, and then possibly re-watch the video one more time.

1. Why is a man standing in the MIDDLE OF THE DESERT with a young boy? On top of this he has his hands on the boys shoulders giving off the vibe of him trying to comfort the boy, and that  “It’s going to be okay, we are just exploring the vast void that makes up this flat plain in the desert…….I am not going to hurt you……By the way, just wondering,  you wouldn’t happen to have any cool birthmarks that you would want to show me, would you?”
2. I understand that the next time you see him “he may not be alone”, but does he actually want to be witnessed by anyone during this dark time in the middle of the desert?
3. Is there a pre-dug hole somewhere in the surrounding desert?  This I am not sure of, because the headlights although strong, are not strong enough to illuminate the whole desert which is in THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.

This is what AndrewMichaelsisdoingnow, looking way too deep into an innocent commercial which I can only assume was meant to show father and son bonding time, with no camping or hiking gear whatsoever, in the middle of fucking nowhere.

Seriously, companies should hire someone like me to view their commercial before they air so I can rip it apart by asking questions like “So were you gearing this commercial to males ages 35-55 who like to take young boys into the middle of the desert for playtime?”  Please vote, so I know if someone actually reads my blog……
